Legionella Awareness Training

Training is as fundamental to Legionella control as are risk assessments, logbooks and a management structure.

Inadequate management, poor communication and lack of training have all been contributory factors in outbreaks of Legionnaires’ Disease and training can stop the spread of Legionnaires’ disease.

We are now offering online training courses.

This is an advanced training specifically for duty holders, nominated legionella responsible persons and those with operational responsibility for the management of the services of a building. It takes approx 2 hours to complete and you will receive a downloadable certificate when complete.

By the end of the course you have knowledge on Legionella bacteria legislation, be able to identify health risks associated with legionellosis, understand control measures and much more.

Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia caused by Legionella Bacteria in a water system. Legislation requires all “responsible people” to be competent and training should be done a minimum of every 2 years.

Ensure your business is compliant and explore the latest in mitigating Legionella Risk, with our new online training program.

After completing the course, candidates will:

  • Be aware of the dangers of legionella bacteria;
  • Have knowledge of the conditions that promote the growth of legionella;
  • Have knowledge of the methods that transmit legionella bacteria;
  • Have knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework that underpins legionella management;
  • Be aware of the most common high risk water systems that encourage legionella growth and dissemination;
